This is a tricky question. For the purpose of the book the answer is - yes. However, death for an angel means that they lose their bodies (which are silicon based instead of carbon based) and become imprisoned in the Abyss.
When angel's bleed, they do not bleed blood. They bleed light. Like a solar panel, they collect light and absorb it. This is why they do not need food.
They are also in tune with all of the atoms in their body and can command cells on an individual level. The allows them to morph, fly, and perform other supernatural feats.
